Biography :
At early age attended gymnastics classes but, after not getting the desired results, gave up on it but found out that it had developed her skills as a dancer.
Performed at her first talent show at the age of six.
At five won first place in the Kentwood Dairy Festival; at seven, was awarded silver first-prize for Miss Talent USA .
At her kindergarten graduation she sang the song “What Child is This”.
At age 8, Britney tried out for The Mickey Mouse Club , but was turned down due to her young age.
By the age of 9, she was traveling around to different dance competitions performing in the jazz lyrical dancing category.
A ppeared in a number of off-Broadway productions.
In 1992 won the first round on Star Search , but was beaten by another contestant in the second.
At age 11, tried again for The Mickey Mouse Club , this time successfully, and worked with it for 2 years until the show was cancelled.
By age 15 started recorded a few songs on a homemade demo and then asked for help Entertainment Lawyer Larry Rudolph, who set her up with Jive Records.
In late December 1998, Jive Records released Britney's first single “…Baby One More Time”, which had become number-one hit by January.
Became the winner of the awards of Best Female, Best Pop, Best Breakthrough Artist, and Best Song for her hit "...Baby One More Time" at the 1999 MTV Europe Music Awards held in Dublin.
By mid-year 2001 13 million copies of “…Baby One More Time” and 9 million of Britney's second album, "Oops!...I Did It Again," released in May of 2000, were sold globally.
In 2002 starred in a teen movie “Crossroads”.
Has been the spokesperson for Pepsi and had TV commercials promoting the soft drink.
Wrote 2 autobiographical books, one with her mom.
After a 4-year romance, broke up with Justin Timberlake in March 2002.
Earned Teen Choice Award honors in 2001 and 2003.
In May 2004, climbed the very top of FHM's "100 Sexiest Women in the World 2004", moving up from #2 in 2003.
