Czech supermodel Petra Nemcova, who was hurt in the Asian tsunami, returned to Prague on Saturday, the CTK news agency reported.
The model survivor, who clung to a palm tree for eight hours with a broken pelvis, had been recovering from her injuries in a Thai hospital. According to Nemcovas New York spokesman, Rob Shuter, she will spend some time in a Prague hospital, where she is to receive further treatment for at least a few days, and then will likely remain in the country until she fully recovers.
25-year-old Nemcova, who appeared on the cover of 2003 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, has posed for magazines including Marie Claire and Vogue and modeled for Victorias Secret, was vacationing in Thailand with her boyfriend Simon Atlee when the waves swept through their bungalow.
Atlee, 33, a well-known British fashion photographer, was engulfed by the swirling water and remains missing.
