Destinys child Beyonce Knowles appeared at Macys Herald Square in New York to launch a new womans fragrance True Star created by Tommy Hilfiger and inspired by the young star herself.
Dressed in custom Tommy Hilfiger and holding a bottle of True Star Eau de Parfum, Beyonce brought back the memories of her first performance at Macys at the age of 15, shared her excitement about the comeback and described the connection between her and the products, reports Fashion Wire Daily. I am a very private person so True Star to me is very close to my personality; when you spray it on yourself, only the people that love you can smell it. Its not too loud, its private. Its very warm and comforting.
The singer also said that she was surprised and impressed by Hilfigers story: He started out a long time ago, he had to work very very hard for it, and I can relate to it. I had to work very hard for what I have.
The advertising campaign supporting the True Star collection features Beyonce singing an exclusive rendition of Wishing on a Star a cappella, and as said Beyonce, the commercial is very private. When I got there, they asked, Could you just sing it a cappella?, and the whole commercial was just so intimate, it was just me on a couch, black and white, singing. Kinda like at home, what I do when Im private.
I feel like were all true stars, thats why I love the title, or actually the name, because every women especially has a true star inside her. As long as you are beautiful from the inside and you are confident; you are a true star, encouraged Beyonce in her closure.
The True Star collection features Eau de Parfum, body lotion, shower gel and a fragrance satin shimmer.
