On Tuesday Ford Models signed a contract with a 14-year-old Elizabeth Biggs from Chesterton, who was one of 20 participants selected as a finalist by Marshall Field’s and Ford Models. Even though Biggs was not the winner of the contest held in Chicago on Monday, she made an indelible impression on Emily Bartolome, a representative for Ford’s Chicago Office.
"As soon as I saw her, I wanted to sign her," said Bartolome, as reports North West Indiana Times.
At a post-competition party Biggs was approached by the Ford’s representative who offered her a contract. Next morning the teenage model and her parents met with Bartolome to sign the contract and discuss further details. At the moment Biggs is in the process of signing out from another Chicago agency currently representing her.
"It's a chance to take another step closer to a modeling career”, said Elizabeth, a freshman at Chesterton High School.
