Christina Aguilera is rumored to be in the process of launching her own clothing line, despite her recent slams directed at celebrities who try themselves in fashion. Earlier this month, the raunchy singer said she would never consider bringing in her own fashion line, seeing it as a sign of a flagging career.
"I just think it is so tacky," she was quoted as saying.
I have always thought that it's one of those things that just makes people look like they don't know what to do any more."
Such comments have really disturbed representatives of UK clothing company Basic Box, with whom 24-year-old Aguilera has reportedly signed a multi-million pound contract to use her name on their products.
A Basic Box insider told Britain's Daily Mirror: "That's a very strange thing to say when she's got her own range coming out.
It annoyed a lot of people who've been working really hard on the clothes. Dealing with Christina has been very difficult, but the she signed the contract."
Meanwhile, the pop diva is reportedly working on a retrospective album of blues, jazz and soul songs as a part of her image makeover since she has decided to become a married woman.
