The next girl to lose her chance to become Americas Next Top Model is Michelle Deighton. Last nights show was the final one for the potential model-to-be. Now there are only five girls left vying for the $100,000 contract with CoverGirl.
The 19-year-old Michelle Deighton said in an interview to nypost.com : "If I would have been more confident at that point in time, I think I definitely would've made it further. The judges kind of made it a point to let me know that, and I also kind of figured it out on my own."
"All five girls [who are left] absolutely deserve to be there," she added. "I don't think that I really wanted to make it further — I had to work on myself and my self-confidence, so I think it was a good point in the competition for me to leave."
The girl was eliminated after they were taken to South Africa, to enjoy safari. There the girls were to dress like sexy African animals for a photo shoot with a live alligator. Michele acted like a zebra.
"You have a look that is rare," Tyra Banks told her. "But you fall apart under pressure."
The young beauty, who was born in a small town, plans to move to New York City this spring and continue her modeling career, despite her defeat.
