Parisian designer Anne Fontaine, renowned for shirts, blouses and outfits for women, has launched her first boutique in Scotland’s capital Edinburgh. She arrived at the city along with the British fashion house DAKS Simpson and will be trading with other big brand names, such as Emporio Armani, Louis Vuitton, Vidal Sassoon, Calvin Klein, Links of London, Bagatt and Reiss, in the city’s center Multrees Walk.
The Brazilian-born designer opened her first store in France with her husband and partner Ari Zotkin 10 years ago, selling simple white shirts. Within one decade she has built a 60-million worth company with nearly 70 stores in the biggest cities worldwide, including those at New York Madison Avenue, London’s Sloane Street, and the Rue Etienne in Paris. Among Fontaine's committed celebrity customers are Halle Berry, Catherine Zeta Jones, and Andie MacDowel.
“We’re delighted to be making our debut in Scotland and indeed in Edinburgh," said Ms Fontaine at the launch, as reports The Scotsman.
"Multrees Walk is most certainly one of the most prestigious addresses in Edinburgh and was the obvious choice for us when looking for a location for our first Scottish store."
