22-year-old Archana Vijaya has made a smooth transition from modeling to veejaying, becoming the host of Channel V’s supermodel hunt, Get Gorgeous.

A former college student in Kolkata, Archana was one of the four winners of the first Get Gorgeous contest, held last year in May. Since then, the Bengali beauty has walked the runway for such designers as Rohit Bal, Narendra Kumar Ahmed, Rana Gill and Tarun Tahiliani.

“Things certainly went my way when I got the opportunity to walk international ramps like at Biennale Design Festival, in France, last year, in November,” says Archana.

She was featured in the print campaigns for Pantaloons, and has done shoots for fashion designer Suneet Varma, magazines Elle, Seventeen, L’Officiel and Femina.

Apart for work, Archana Vijaya enjoys football, parties and shopping. “I love to shop for accessories like, amulets, earrings and bags,” she told Express India.

The sexy model and VJ revealed she would also like to appear in television commercials and maybe even films. “Sure, why not? If I get the right kind of role,” said ambitious Archana.
