Asli Bayram, who won at the Miss Germany 2005 contest, is now representing her county at the Miss Universe 2005 pageant in Bangkok, Thailand, and will also stand up for Germany at Miss Europe 2006 competition.

New Miss Germany is a dark-haired beauty who is 24 years old and stands 1.67m tall. Asli has Turkish roots and loves belly-dancing as well as karate. She was born in Darmstadt, which is known as German town of science, and grew up in big family. Her participation in the contest has a strong political meaning as it could improve Germany relations with Turkey, which had been tense for a long time.

Asli Bayram managed to beat 21 candidates, chosen among 2800 girls, to receive Miss Germany title and now regards her chances for winning at Miss Universe 2005 contest in a sober light: "I have the same chance like all the other girls. I trust and believe in me. I'm already a winner and I take part in the competition as one," said she in her interview to Globalbeauties.com.
