Top Australian fashion designer Bettina Liano, known for her jeans, will design children's wear range. The designer, who will participate in next week's Mercedes Australian Fashion Week in Sydney, will team up with famous children's apparel brand Barbie to create a collection especially for young girls.
The kids clothing line, featuring ruffled tops, tulle skirts and jersey pieces with mini versions of denim garments, will come in size 3 to 10 and will be released in September.
"Designing for a popular and much loved brand like Barbie provides the perfect opportunity," The Age quoted Liano as saying.

The launch of the range will make Australia the second country to offer a designer-created Barbie apparel collection.
