Bryan Adams, more known for his songs than for his art of photographer, created a new photo book American Women, which will benefit the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. The singer enjoyed snapping celebrities: Working with the celebrities was a dream. But most of the time it was me versus the publicists.
As the book is a joint project of Adams and Calvin Klein, all celebrities wore dresses created by the designer.
The black and white photos feature actresses Hilary Swank, Katie Holmes, Mandy Moore, Jennifer Aniston, Sarah Jessica Parker and a lot of other celebrities - Jeffrey Katzenberg paid $15,000 for the photos of his wife and daughter. Yet the picture that arouse the most discussion is portrait of pregnant Gwyneth Paltrow. “We had to do a special dress for her because she was really pregnant,” shared Francisco Costa. The picture is also one of the personal favourite of photographer: "That picture of Gwyneth was shot in London and it was shot in my kitchen."
Almost all celebrities, whose pictures were taken by Adams, were present on the party. Then the chosen few had a dinner at the Burches’ having a friendly chat.
The book is expected to be available for sale by late May.
