British supermodel Kate Moss will be honored with the Award for Fashion Influence at the Council of Fashion Designers of America's annual ceremony in New York. International Award will go to Lanvin's Artistic Director Alber Elbaz, while Diane Von Furstenberg will be celebrated for Lifetime Achievement.
Among this year's nominees for Womenswear the CFDA announced Vera Wang, Marc Jacobs and Ralph Rucci.
The candidates for the Menswear Designer of the Year title include John Bartlett, John Varvatos and Ralph Lauren.
Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Janis Savitt for M&J Savitt and Gerard Yosca were selected as the leading Accessory Designers, one of whom will walk home with the honorary prize.
"The 2005 CFDA Fashion Awards nominees and honorees represent an impressive cross-section of creative talents in the American fashion industry. The 2005 CFDA Fashion Awards is a tribute to their achievements, and celebrates the artistry of these individuals," said Peter Arnold, the executive director of the CFDA.
The annual gala, underwritten by Swarovski, will be held at the New York Public Library on June 6.
