The Canadian International Modeling Agency (CIMA) and Substance Magazine present MANTRA, a fashion show with local and established designers, highlighting Ottawa & Canada's finest on Friday, October 5th.
Some still remeber how on July 1, 2007, CIMA members (over 30+), celebrating their one-year anniversary, walk around downtown Rideau Street signing Canada’s birthday card while wearing CIMA shirts. They hit up the Cornerstone Bar and Grill on Clarence Street where the dance group “Diverse” perform to their step dancing to the beats of Hot 89.9 DJ Kenny B.
There will be an ever brighter continuation. On October 5th (Friday), the Canadian International Modeling Agency (CIMA) will be holding their first official Fashion Show at the Canadian War Museum located in Ottawa at 1 Vimy Place.
In preparation for the fashion shows in October and the other one in September 2007, CIMA has been recruiting 1 more models and members to help build the team.
The fashion show will showcase Ottawa's local modeling, photography and styling talent along with local and established designers showing off their latest trends and fashions. During the event there will be special performances by DJ Guillaume Garih from Paris and Ottawa's own indie-rock group My Dad vs. Yours.
CIMA is a counterpart to promoting the use and integration of Ottawa's local modeling talent into the Ottawa Fashion Industry. Local designers can benefit from looking in their very own backyard for their advertising and marketing needs.
This event is open to the media, general public and the business sector to experience a night of extravagance and style put on by CIMA.
Sponsors of the event include Ottawa's very own Substance Magazine, Ottawa Street Style and the Ace Card.
The Fashion Show in Otawa will feature PERFORMANCE BY: MY DAD VS YOURS and SOUNDS BY: DJ GUILLAUME GARIH.
