Last year’s best actress Oscar winner, Charlize Theron, is the first star to be named as a presenter for the 77th Academy Awards.

Oscars show producer Gil Cates unveiled the names of the first celebrities who will hand over a golden statuette, cinema’s most prestigious award, on February 27, reports AP.

The 29-year-old former ballerina and current spokesmodel for PETA won the top female acting prize last year for her role as serial killer Aileen Wuornos in the biopic Monster.

Nominations for this year’s Academy Awards will be announced in Beverly Hills on January 25.
