German-born supermodel Claudia Schiffer and her husband, film director Matthew Vaughn, have hired five former British Army Gurkhas to help protect their $9 million English mansion, reports Contactmusic.
The couple, who welcomed their second child in November, have been targeted by two stalkers earlier this year, which made them consider protection of a more reliable guard. The spouses have been very enthusiastic about hiring the Nepalese fighters and are urging Madonna and her husband Guy Ritchie to employ them as well.
The Gurkhas are among the most hard-working, loyal and skilled people I have ever come across. We are delighted to give them jobs, explains Vaughn.
The Gurkha soldiers of Nepal were elite troops in the colonial Indian Army and later the British Army and are known for their courage and loyalty.
