Comedian David Cross, the star of Arrested Development and Mr. Show, recently got naked for a new PETA ad “aimed at exposing the cruelty behind every fur coat”. With the words “Show your own fur”, Cross did proudly flaunt his own. To cover his intimate parts when working in front of the cameras, the kind-hearted celebrity used double-sided tape, which was later sold on eBay.

Porn star Ron Jeremy has also joined the list of celebrity animal protectors, posing for a new PETA ad, promoting spaying and neutering. “Too much sex can be a bad thing. Help end overpopulation—spay and neuter your dogs and cats,” reads the ad depicting the adult movie industry’s veteran lying naked in bed.

Meanwhile, PETA has recently launched its new “Boycott Benetton” billboard blitz, the latest outburst in the organization’s international campaign against the Italian apparel company. The posters feature a lamb's rump, mutilated with a pair of gardening shears, with inscription "Help Stop Cruelty to Animals—Boycott Benetton" and the info source at UnitedCrueltyOfBenetton.com. 10 billboards have already been placed in Tampa, Florida, and will soon appear in San Francisco, Baltimore, and other cities worldwide. A similar billboard ran for one day in New York City but was pulled due to gruesomeness of the image. PETA urges Benetton to boycott Australian wool until the major forms of cruelty in the Australian merino wool business end. The brutal treatment of sheep includes painful cutting of large chunks of flesh from lambs' hindquarters in attempt to reduce maggot infestation, shipping of sheep to the Middle East aboard open-deck ships, and slaughter of conscious animals.
