Donald Trump said he would like to develop a woman's clothing line. On Wednesday night, the 58-year-old tycoon, with the help of GQ magazine, presented a show featuring his diverse licensed products, comprising Phillips-Van Heusen dress shirts, Marcraft suits, Vendôme cufflinks and Randa neckwear.
The catwalk crew, sprayed with Estée Lauder-produced Donald Trump fragrance, included season two’s Apprentice winner, Kelly Perdew, and season-one contestant Ereka Vetrin, dressed in Donna Karan, since Trump doesn’t have a women’s clothing line. “I’d really like to do one, though,” he told WWD after the show.
Meantime, Warner Business Books, has announced that it will publish a book by New York Times investigative reporter Timothy L. O'Brien titled TRUMPWORLD: The Art of Being the Donald, which is due in October 2005. The publishers promise to take the readers to the world of style, substance, and money and to give a personal look inside the life of Donald Trump.
Rick Wolff, Executive Editor and Vice President of Warner Books said, "There are many books on Donald Trump -- several that he's written and even some that he's authorized. But the truth is, none of them come even close to this very objective look at this man's career and image. TRUMPWORLD is an eye-opening, jaw-dropping, first-class piece of journalism and we're thrilled to be publishing this blockbuster book by one of the nation's top investigative reporters."
