Beauty giant Estee Lauder has announced its creative collaboration with fashion designer Tom Ford.

The alliance represents Ford's first move since resigning from his Creative Director position at Gucci last year. It also marks the first-time experiment for Estee Lauder, since the company has no prior experience of partnering with an outside fashion designer.
 
The new Tom Ford for Estee Lauder line is to appear on cosmetic counters by the Holiday 2005 season, followed by a more extensive collection in Spring 2006. A stand-alone brand, Tom Ford Beauty, is expected to launch in Fall 2006.

Tom Ford, one of the most successful couturier of the last decade, has taken Gucci to the top of the world's luxury market.
