Actress Eva Longoria has signed a 2-million dollar contract with the cosmetic giant LOreal.
Along with such celebrities as Beyonce Knowles, Natalie Imbruglia, Mila Yovovich and Jennifer Anniston, who also starred in L'Oreal campaigns, the 30-year old "Desperate Housewives" actress will become the new face of the company, whose motto “because I’m worth it” is world-known.
Eva Longoria will most likely follow Jennifer Anniston's steps and advertise the company’s hair care products.
Longoria will be officially named as the new face of L'Oreal later this week (ends08APR05).
Eva has been chosen for this campaign, promoted by McCann Erickson, as she has “stunning face, figure and also because of her glossy hair.”
Longoria plays cheating housewife Gabrielle Solis in Wisteria Lane and is the youngest member of the cast. The latest US hit also stars Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman.
The star recently complained in an interview that she gets little attention from photographers that work on the “Desperate Housewives”. She says it happens because she’s “too good looking”. "I always have this problem at photo shoots, when all of us are together. I'll get the least attention. They say, 'She'll look good in anything.' Or, 'Oh, she doesn't need the best lighting, because she'll look good in any light.”
Last year L’Oreal paid soul diva Beyonce over $2 million for just 10 days work in one year in a five-year campaign.
