The legendary Italian designer receives Honorary Degree from an Italian university, his second honorary degree in the last six months.
He is probably the world’s most successful designer in history. At least Forbes magazine said so back in 2000, whereas his admired, trademark elegant and classic designs earned his company sales of a reported $1 billion (in total).
Giorgio Armani's list of accomplishments has been recently complemented by another line, rather symbolic but still impressing. The man of fashion has received an honorary degree for industrial design from another respected university.
Giorgio Armani was honored by the Politecnico di Milano University. This is his second honorary degree in the last half a year, as the University of Arts in London awarded him a doctorate in October 2006.
It seemed that Armani gave the budding design students the benefit of his experience. He said: "A collection can be destroyed by the press, but if you believe it, keep it."
