The 33rd annual Fragrance Foundation Awards, also knows as "FiFi" Awards, were held in in New York's Hammerstein Ballroom on Thursday, April 7, to honor the fragrance industry's creative achievements.
The ceremony, traditionally hosted by a celebrity from either the fashion, theater, film or television industries, was emceed by Oscar winner Marisa Tomei dressed in a floor-length white satin number.
Among the celebrities who came to see veteran designer Carolina Herrera receive the Hall of Fame Award were Ashanti and Sophie Dahl. The R&B star attended the event wearing a peach silk dress slashed at the front, while the British model, who has made her home in NYC, sported a classic cream dress with matching fur jacket.
Among the winners were Curious Britney Spears and Adidas Moves Fresh for Him in the Consumer's Choice category. The Healing Garden in Bloom by Coty Beauty US received honors for Popular Appeal Women's Fragrance of the Year, while Spirit Antonio Banderas was named the Men's winner.
The FFA Awards, considered the Oscars of the perfume industry, are held annually in New York City from 1973 and attract more than 1,000 members of the international fragrance community.
The Fragrance Foundation was established in 1949 to develop educational programs about the significance and pleasures of fragrance for the American public and has since become an international source for historic, cultural, scientific and industry related reference materials.
