Gwen Stafiani’s penchant for the Harajuku area of Tokyo, popular among trendy young people, has been reflected in the singer’s new range of clothing. The singer’s spring 2005 collection will include an Asian-inspired accessories line, Harajuku Lovers, which will feature illustrations of the four Japanese girls from her posse, reported LAUNCH.
Other items for spring include ruffle raincoats, art-deco print cocktail dresses, nautical blouses, sailor pants, cashmere hooded jumper and twin-set cardigans, pleat-front trousers, and Harlow halter dresses, inspired by her Jean Harlow role in The Aviator.
While being busy with creating outfits and releasing new hits, 35-year-old Gwen has been thinking about motherhood. However, the eccentric star realizes she doesn’t have too much time left to make the most of her current status as one of the most successful females in pop.
"You think about how you're gonna get away and have a normal life. I imagine children will save me from my vanity, and they will become my passion and fill whatever fears I have right now,” she told Rolling Stone magazine.
"I don't want to drop off and not be on the radio and not be able to talk about myself for hours. I don't want it to go away.
"I'm 35. I don't have that much time left to do this kind of record. Let's be real."
