The 12th annual Revlon Run/Walk For Women is going to take place this year in LA. The main hosts of the Run are Hollywood beauty Halle Berry and the star of “Desperate Housewives” Marcia Cross.

During the event the funds will be raised to support  women who are suffering from cancer and to provide further cancer research not only in the LA, but across the United States. The Revlon Run/Walk for Women has collected over  $32 mln. for the last eleven years.

"The people of the City of Los Angeles have shown such a huge commitment to this important event by coming out every year and supporting the Revlon Run/Walk and fighting the battle against women's cancer," says Ronald O. Perelman, chairman of Revlon, Inc., co-founder of the Run/Walk and co-founder of the Revlon/UCLA Women's Cancer Research Program. "The resources that are now available as a result of their support for the Run/Walk have allowed the significant advancement in education and research for this disease that affects so many women."

The first Revlon Run/Walk For Women in Los Angeles took place in LA in 1993 combining efforts of the Entertainment Industry Foundation, Lilly Tartikoff, Ronald O. Perelman and The Davis Group. The Run features not only LA, but also New York. Among other donators and sponsors are The Wellness Community; WIN Against Breast Cancer; USC/Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and Hospital Ovarian & Breast Cancer Program; The UCLA Digital Mammography Program; T.H.E. (To Help Everyone) Clinic, Inc.; Los Angeles Breast Cancer Alliance; Torrance Memorial Medical Center; Women of Color Breast Cancer Survivors Support Project and many others.

The main contributors to this year Run/Walk are Save-on-drugs, Toyota and Robinson May.
