First of all, don’t wear too much shine. If you decide to embellish yourself with glitzy elements, make sure it attracts attention to the right areas of your body and goes with the whole outfit.

Second rule – don’t show too much skin. Pick a dress with a suggestion and leave something for imagination.

Always be prepared for last-minute invitations and keep a few dressy items in your closet. Having nothing to wear is the third fatal mistake.

Don’t make your outfit too complicated and overwhelming. Sometimes a simple black dress with a little nice accessory can make you look utterly elegant and chic.

And the last, but not the least, slip is being over or under dressed. If you can’t figure out when to show up in jeans and when to put on a ball dress, the ubiquitous black dress can always save the situation.
