Christmas night is a just a few hours away. New Years Eve is also around the corner. And each of us wants to be especially exquisite and irresistible on the festive night.
According to the Chinese Calendar, 2005 is a year of the Rooster. This means that in order to please the Rooster and make your wishes come true in the succeeding year, you better don something bright and colorful. The most popular fabrics for the holiday dress, also the favorites of this season, are satin and velvet, from claret-colored to deep-purple. The top spots among accessories are swept by everything golden or aureate. And dont fear being extravagant!
Well, Cynthia Nellis, a journalist and a former fashion buyer, listed five most common holiday fashion mistakes that you should take into consideration and add to your arsenal of fashion tips.
First of all, dont wear too much shine. If you decide to embellish yourself with glitzy elements, make sure it attracts attention to the right areas of your body and goes with the whole outfit.
Second rule – dont show too much skin. Pick a dress with a suggestion and leave something for imagination.
Always be prepared for last-minute invitations and keep a few dressy items in your closet. Having nothing to wear is the third fatal mistake.
Dont make your outfit too complicated and overwhelming. Sometimes a simple black dress with a little nice accessory can make you look utterly elegant and chic.
And the last, but not the least, slip is being over or under dressed. If you cant figure out when to show up in jeans and when to put on a ball dress, the ubiquitous black dress can always save the situation.
But dont agonize too much. Because all that actually matters is your ardent eyes and shining smile. Enjoy the holiday season!
