IKE, International Kiss Event, will be held in Rimini, Italy from May 28 to June 5.

Being a total success in 2003, the contest was picked up by organizers of the Fitness Festival in Miami last summer, where it became even more popular. This year, IKE will remain the part of the 17th annual Fitness Festival to take place in Rimini, where the event was launched two years ago.

According to Xinhua, the contest will be held every day during the Fitness Festival and the contestants will have to kiss underwater in a transparent swimming pool for as long as they can. The couples with the longest kiss will win the world's longest underwater kiss title at the IKE final on July 10, which is also the World Kissing Day.
        
Then the contest will continue at Italy's beaches to finish up by selecting the underwater world kissing champions of the year at the end of the summer.
