The Fashion & Textile Museum presents another issue of the series of Wednesday night talks aimed at highlighting the relationships between Fashion and Fine Art. This Wednesday, on May, the 18, between 6.30 and 8pm, Julie Verhoeven will be interviewed by Penny Martin, the curator at SHOWstudio.
Julie Verhoeven, the popular illustrator, fine artist and fashion designer for her own brand Gibo, who is much known for her illustrated handbags by Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton, will explain in details the principles of classification and explore the travel of fashion creation from printed page and fashion catwalk into gallery and exhibition rooms.
The event will take place at the Learning Centre sponsored by Newham College. The ticket price: 7, 5 concessions, the talk, light refreshment included. Also, visitors will have the possibility to attend the current exhibition Zandra Rhodes: A Lifelong Love Affair with Textiles for free.
