Russian Fashion Week runs from April 2-11, 2004 and has kicked-off with a party on April 1. Now in its 5th season, the Russian Fashion Week is bigger than ever before. And this is no April Fool's joke. Russian Fashion Week is now established as one of Moscow's principal fashion events, attracting 60 designers from 13 countries and a target audience of key fashion leaders, retailers, and members of the national and international press.

The Fall 2004-Winter 2005 runway shows expand to two locations: the T-modul Expo Center and the historical mansion of the Russian Academy of Fine Arts. Also new this season, the organizers of Russian Fashion Week team up with professionals in the fashion industry and offer business seminars and master-classes to all participants.

Russian Fashion Week was created in 2002 to organize, centralize and modernize the Russian collections and provide a platform for young designers to become players in the national and international fashion business. It offers designers state of the art venues, a professional production team and maximum exposure through the media, showrooms, and a wide variety of marketing and advertising campaigns. The largest event in Eastern Europe, Russian Fashion Week presents designers from Russia, Belorussia, the Baltics, Georgia, Ukraine as well as Kazakhstan, Indonesia, France, Spain, Peru, and the United States. Among the 60 designers presenting their Fall 2004- Winter 2005 collections are such recognized names as Daria Razumikhina, Vassa, Alexander Arngoldt, Olga Soldatova, Victoria Krasnova, A&V (Lithuania), Alena Akhmadullina, Julia Dalakian, Masha Tsigal, Maka Assathiany and Avtandil Tskvitinidze (Georgia). RFW is excited to welcome this season's new comers: Fresh Art, Egor Zaitsev, Tamuna Ingorokva (Georgia), and Olga Komissarova. It is also pleased to host London-based, Arkadius, whose Fall 2004 collection received star reviews from the British press and New York's hottest fashion export, Richie Rich and Traver Rains of Heatherette.
