Actress, singer and former model Deborah Falconer and her estranged husband actor Robert Downey, have officially ended their 12-year marriage. The couple, who have been separated for eight years, filed divorce papers this week in Los Angeles County Superior Court, publicist Alan Nierob said. "This is more or less just a formality," he told Reuters.

Falconer married Robert Downey Jr. in 1992 after a 42 day courtship. The couple separated in 1996. Their 10-year-old son, Indio, will continue to live with his mother, but Downey "remains very involved in the upbringing of his son,” Nierob told Reuters.

Former Elite model Falconer released her debut album, titled 'Brave Like Me', on July 22, 2003. It was released on the Los Angeles-based singer's own label, Ravish Records.
