Noxzema and Ford Models have announced three finalists in the "Noxzema
Girl Search," an All-American campaign designed to discover the next fresh faced
"Noxzema Girl": Melissa Largent, 21, from Jacksonville, Florida, Jennifer
Jenkins, 22, from Estero, Florida, and Mia Rutledge, 22, from Birmingham,
Alabama. The three finalists were selected from a pool of over 2,400 entries.
The 'Noxzema Girl' captures the natural beauty of the
girl-next-door and the brand's advertising campaigns have helped launch the
careers of many beautiful and talented women. Melissa, Jennifer and Mia all
have the great presence, radiant skin and vibrant personality it takes to be
the next face of Noxzema," said Katie Ford, CEO of Ford Models. Former
"Noxzema Girls" have included Courteney Cox Arquette, Carol Alt, Christie
Brinkley, Cybill Shepherd and Rebecca Gayheart.
From May 14, 2004 though June 14, 2004, America can log on to
http://www.noxzema.com to learn more about each finalist and cast their vote for
the winner of the "Noxzema Girl Search." In addition to appearing in a
national Noxzema advertising campaign, the winner will also receive a one-year
$25,000 Ford modeling contract, an appearance in an exclusive "Noxzema Girl
Search" advertisement in the September 2004 issue of Cosmopolitan and a
walk-on role on the Emmy Award-Winning soap opera As The World Turns.
"We were thrilled with the overwhelming response of young women who
entered the contest and excited that it exposed us to fresh new faces from
across the country. The natural beauty of the three finalists has really
impressed us. We look forward to seeing who America will choose to star in
our next advertising campaign," said Amy Spera, Brand Manager for Noxzema.
The contest ran December 16, 2003 through January 31, 2004 and invited
women across the country between the ages of 18-34 to enter for a chance to
become the next "Noxzema Girl." The three finalists were chosen based on the
uniqueness of their personal statement and the natural, radiant beauty shown
in their photographs.
