Figures regarding the shopping habits of women covering the entire Europe were published recently in France.
Not surprisingly, newcomers to the adult fashion market are the biggest spenders with an average budget of 813 euros per year.
After that, expenditure falls until the empty nester when women in the 55 to 64 age group once again go out on a spending spree with an average of 615 euros to invest.
After the age of 65, however, average spending on fashion garments dips to a low of just 300 euros. Similar surveys recently undertaken in the UK also suggest that fashion-wise feminine life begins again in the 50s. Today 40per cent of all consumers spending is accounted for by the 50 plus age group.
