British soul star with miraculous voice Joss Stone might loose her multi-million contract with Gap Inc. if she chooses to stay with her lover. The 17-year old singer has just moved in the California Encino area together with the 25-year old music producer Beau Dozier.

According to the California law Ms. Stone is a year younger of the sexual consent age. And that is why her boyfriend might face the “statutory rape” prosecution.

Dozier’s father Lamont Dozier, a famous hit-maker, claims that Joss, who has British citizenship, has legal right to live with Beau. The official legal age in Britain is 16. He also added that the couple had the "romance over the phone" as Joss spent most of her time traveling with concerts. They experienced friendship and it took them a lot of time before they could move further.
