The former supermodel and Americas Next Top Model judge Janice Dickinson is leaving the TV reality show to work on her other private projects unrelated to modeling business. Meantime, Twiggy, the worlds first teenage supermodel, will take her judge armchair in the next season.
Janice Dickinson, who proclaimed herself as the “world's first supermodel” leaves the Tyra Banks' team after four years of co-working to write a book and take part in VH1's Surreal Life.
"We would like to thank Janice for bringing her talents to the show and for everything she did to help us build America's Next Top Model into its current success," said Ken Mok, the show's executive producer, in a statement, quoted by eonline.com. "We wish her well in all of her future endeavors."
As for Dickinson’s replacement by former style icon Twiggy, who had graced the covers of almost every fashion magazine, including Harper's Bazaar, Seventeen, Vogue and many others, Mok said:
"We are thrilled to have Twiggy as a part of this cycle's judging panel; the show and participants will benefit a great deal from her vast knowledge and expertise.”
Runway expert J. Alexander, who was a frequent special guest in previous cycles, will also act as a judge in the new cycle of America's Next Top Model together with Twiggy.
“With Twiggy and the addition of runway expert J. Alexander as judges, we're guaranteed to have some lively judging sessions," Mok said.
