Although she missed the top spot in British reality TV show "Make Me a Supermodel", Wales native Kate Ellery is expected to land her own contract with a major agency. The 18-year-old aspiring forensic scientist is said to soon be signed to one of London's top agencies.
"Select is one of the agencies who have been really impressed by her and may well want to put her on their books," Ellery's spokesperson told icWales.
"If she wants to carry on from here I am sure she will have the opportunities."
Sarah Leon, head of Select's new faces department Verve, said she could give any comments about such statement but added: "We think she is absolutely stunning and in our view we believe she could go to the top of the tree.
"She is just a bit less ready than Alice, who we are delighted for and believe has that special something.
"But we think Kate will develop really quickly too as she has come so far in just three weeks."
Kate came second after an 18 year-old school-girl Alice Sinclair, who won the contract with Select Model Management, which represents celebrities like Sienna Miller.
"I've transformed so much over the past few weeks, from a duckling to a swan," Ellery said yesterday. "And I know I've got so much more to offer.
"I would love to be the first Welsh supermodel in Britain."
Even Perou, a top photographer and a harsh critic who worked hard to transform her girl-next-door image, said: "She has gone from novice to professional in three weeks."
