Kylie Minogue launched her world Showgirl tour with a live show in Glasgow last night, vowing the 10,000 audience with her hit songs and a range of sexy and glamorous outfits from Karl Lagerfeld, Julien Macdonald and Manolo Blahnik and other top fashion designers.
Moschino's creative director Rossella Jardini had exclusively designed for the 38-year-old singer a ruffled red-and-black halterneck dress, which whips off to reveal a strapless lace cat suit beneath. "I am honoured to be part of this monumental tour," British Vogue quoted Jardini as saying. Among Minogues spectacular garbs was a feathered showgirl costume.
"It's great to be back in Scotland," the star told the Sunday Mail. "The show has taken a year to produce but it's been a lifetime in the making.
"Every tour somehow becomes bigger than the last, from the dances, glitter and feathers.
"Here's to a great start of an amazing tour."
Minogue's beu, French actor Olivier Martinez, jetted from LA to Scotland to see his girlfriend perform. Despite the rumors about the couple's problems and Martinez' dates with other women, Olivier and Kylie are happy to be together after staying apart for over a month and plan to spend some time in Scotland.
