Glamour magazine names resurgent Australian pop diva Kylie Minogue the Best Dressed Woman celebrity in 2006. From undistinguished No. 26 in the list last year, Kylie has risen to the first place this year because of her new subtle and understated dressing sense.

This is what would have sealed the actual comeback of 38-year-old Kylie, the fact probably even more important and appealing to the general public than her much-wanted cancer remission and triumphant return to performing.

Having undergone an entire image makeover after her breast cancer surgery, Kylie Minogue displaced last year’s the best-dressed female celebrity Kate Moss, who has taken the fourth position.

Glamour magazine editor Jo Elvin noted: “We've seen a newer, softer-looking Kylie emerge this year. She's still sexy, but she's not flaunting that side of herself in gold hotpants any more… She's letting it shine through subtly, with a class personal style that women really identify with.”

Kylie Minogue is followed by Victoria Beckham, Nicole Richie, Kate Moss, Sienna Miller, Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson, and Gwen Stefani.
