Curvaceous singer Mariah Carey amused the staff of the Baglioni hotel in Kensington, England by issuing a ridiculous demand to cover her way from the limousine to her hotel room with a red carpet and large white candles.
The 34-year-old star, who arrived to London to promote her new album The Emancipation of Mimi, got furious when having arrived at the luxurious hotel at 2:15 am she received ordinary treatment.
After the hotel staff was explained that such celebrity as Mariah does not step on ordinary pavement and needs to be welcomed with a red carpet, the requirements were hotfoot put in place, while the capricious singer was driving around accompanied by her entourage who had booked 15 rooms in the hotel, costing up to $3,800 (€2,900) each per night.
"It's not unheard of for us to rush out the red carpet for a guest. We're used to dealing with high-profile guests and everyone has their own requirements," the hotel operations manager was quoted by online.ie as saying.
