Nital Gosai became the new winner of the Miss India Worldwide Canada contest which was held on May 20.
The show was organized by Divya Kumar and Tricia Bhim who managed to turn it into unforgettable performance which consisted of three rounds: Indian, Evening, and Talent. Between the rounds the visitors had an opportunity to enjoy a designer collection fashion show, a comedy act, Bollywood Dance Pak and live acrobatic dancers on silks from the ceiling.
New Miss India is 22 years old and stands 5'7" tall. She beat 17 other beautiful contestants and was chosen by the panel of 7 judges, consisting of Mr. Francis D'Souza, CityPulse Reporter, Mr. Ram Khullar, Events Organizer, Ms. Suzy Soares, Omni TV Diversity Producer, and Mr. Nav Bhatia of Hyundai Mississauga.
Manisha Ramji, Reshmi Chetram, Maya Rodaki, Nadine Chandoo, and Nital Gosai became the top five finalists the judges were to chose the winner from. The winner and two runner-ups have been announced after the questions-and-answers round: Manisha Ramji received the title of Miss Photogenic, Miss Congeniality went to Navdeep Kaur, while Nital Gosai was crowned Miss India Worldwide Canada 2005 and Miss Best Talent by Simranjit Singh, last year's reigning queen. The winners received prizes from event sponsors: Integrated Group of Companies, IMAN Cosmetics, and di'Zain Haute Couture.
Now Nital will be representing Canada at Miss India Worldwide to be held in Mumbai, India in November, 2005. Applications for Miss India Worldwide Canada 2006 and Mrs. India Toronto are now accepted at www.missindiaworldwidecanada.com
