Applications are currently being accepted for contestants in the Miss Latina USA Pageant. Prospective participants must be between the ages of 13-28 and be of at least 25% Hispanic descent. There is no height or weight requirement and contestants are not required to speak Spanish. No prior pageant experience is needed.

The winner of the Pageant will represent the US in the nationally televised Miss Latina World Pageant in San Antonio, Texas.

The Miss Latina USA Pageant is recognized as the stellar pageant for Latinas. Each year the pageant system awards thousands of dollars in scholarships and other prizes.

Contestants compete in the traditional categories of interview, swimsuit and evening gown for a prize package valued at over $25,000, including two modeling contracts, and the title of Miss Latina USA.

The reigning Miss Latina USA, Diane Cabrera is a 21 year old student at Georgetown University. The pageant has also served as a stepping stone for young women interested in the entertainment industry.
