Since Veronica Hidalgo won Miss Spain contest at Oropesa del Mar, she obtained the right to represent Spain at the Miss Universe 2005 pageant to be held in Bangkok, Thailand on May, the 30th.

New Miss Spain, a professional model, is 20 year old and 1.78 m (5'10") tall. Her fellow contestant Mireia Verdu who became Miss Lleida will participate in the Miss World 2005 contest.

Another finalist Laura Ojeda received the title of Miss Las Palmas and the right to take part in Miss Europe 2006.
