Although you see Nicole Kidman in the ads of Chanel No.5 perfume, the Australian actress insists she is not “the face of Chanel”.

"I just did the No. 5 thing, which I did with Baz [Luhrmann, her "Moulin Rouge" director]," she recently told FWD. "Everyone is saying, 'Oh, you're the face of Chanel.' No. I'm not."

The 37-year-old star says she enjoys being a part of the Chanel family, which includes wearing couture clothes and making millions of dollars for advertising the legendary perfume. However, Nicole who has been single since her divorce from Tom Cruise in 2001, admits it has its down moments.

"I went to Paris and I sat in the Coco Chanel suite by myself on the bed and went, 'Oh my gosh.' I called my sister and said, 'I wish you were here so we could really enjoy this,'" she recalled. "There's something about when you're alone and you're not sharing this with someone else, if you don't have a partner you're kind of struggling at times to go, 'I've just got to keep it up.'"

The blonde beauty, who has recently appeared in political thriller "The Interpreter," attended the Vanity Fair party to celebrate the Tribeca Film Festival in New York last week. The Oscar winning actress wowed the crowd with a black velvet dress with a deep plunging back, spiky heels and her hair tied back in a ponytail.

A source told the Daily Mail:” When Nicole arrived, everyone thought she’d opted for a fairly conservative little black dress. She already looked great at the front, but when she turned around to pose for photographers, jaws dropped as people realised just how low cut her dress really was.”
