“The best hair styles I’ve worn have been styled by men I’ve slept with…I guess the walk of shame also doubles as a red carpet,” says Pamela Anderson when learning of her win for Sexiest Hair in the AG Best Canadian Celebrity Hair Awards. Which ever way the Canadian celebrity winners get their styles is up to them, it’s only the end result that’s judged by stylists across the country in AG Hair Cosmetics’ 5th annual awards.

“Each of the winners of this year’s awards exemplifies great style and individuality,” says Jami Symons, AG’s artistic director. “Whether it’s the tousled, just-got-out-of-bed look, or the polished, put-together look, each celebrity exudes a style that extends beyond just their hair. It’s about their personality and strength, and it’s what we call style with substance.”

Canada’s AG Hair Cosmetics created the hair awards to celebrate great Canadian style and honor those who are setting trends around the globe. This year, a record number of hairstylists from across Canada cast their votes for their favourite celebrity ’do in each of the five categories.

The winners of AG’s 5th Annual Best Canadian Celebrity Hair Awards are:

        • Best style with substance: Neve Campbell, actress

        • Sexiest hair: Pamela Anderson, actress

        • Best hair on a musician: Shania Twain

        • Best hair on a news anchor or talk show host: Sarah Taylor, MuchMusic VJ

        • Most individual and unique hairstyle: Chad Kroeger, musician from Nickelback
