Paris Hilton Becomes Businesswoman

Paris Hilton seems to drop her party girl image and turn into a business woman. Last week, the ubiquitous celebrity arrived in London to launch her new perfume “Paris Hilton” in the UK after the successful launch in the US last September during New York Fashion Week.

"Fragrance is magical, it creates a mood. It is the last thing I put on before I step out to party - it's a signature, a style statement, it's memorable,” she said in a statement, according to Fashion Windows.

“I wanted to create a fragrance that was sweet and sexy. I created the scent a few years ago and it contains all the things I love... flowers, fruit plus a special, sensual ingredient - Pheromone. My sister and my friends love it too,” she added.

At her 24, Paris stars in her own TV show, acted in film House of Wax, just released her first book, finished an album and has her ‘Paris Hilton Jewelry” selling at amazon.com.

She has also appeared in the ad for fast food chain Carl’s Jr. which premiered on Entertainment Tonight on May 17. The 30-second spot features Paris eating The Spicy BBQ Six Dollar Burger in black bathing suit while washing Bentley, with a rock version of the song I Love Paris in the Springtime as background.

"Paris was chosen to star in the ad because she is an intriguing cultural icon and the 'it girl' of the moment. She fascinates Carl's Jr.'s most loyal customers, 'young, hungry guys,' as well as 'young, hungry gals,'" said Brad Haley, Carl's Jr. executive vice president of marketing. "The ad plays more like a music video than a typical television commercial. And the message is very simple: Paris, the situation, and the Spicy BBQ Six Dollar Burger are 'hot.'"

Adweek magazine has labeled the ad "too hot for TV," but the star herself simply characterized it as "hot."

Heiress of the hotel empire, Paris has also decided to go into the purse business with the assistance of Parlux Fragrances. According to the company's representatives, Parlux, which already manufactures and distributes Hilton's perfume line, will be developing and marketing a line of leather accessories, handbags and wallets for Paris Hilton. They have also recently signed the deal to make Paris Hilton cosmetics and watches, reports AP.
