Czech topmodel and Tsunami survivor Petra Nemcova plans to return to the catwalk. The supermodel, who has lost her lover in the horrific natural disaster, is working on her body now with the world famous fitness trainer Oscar Smith, after 6-month rehabilitation at home, in Czech Republic.
The catwalk beauty was resting on the warm shores of Thailand together with her boyfriend of two years, fashion photographer Simon Atlee, in December 2005, when the wave came from the ocean and swept off everything on its way. Petra Nemcova was lucky to catch the palm tree branch – and it was her chance to survive. The model had to cling to the tree for almost eight hours with broken pelvis, before the rescue service saw her.
After the succour Nemcova was transferred to Czech Republic, where she got her final rejuvenation. Now, Oscar Smith, the most popular fitness trainer among the catwalk queens and celebrities, is training Nemcova to bring her back in shape.
“Training with Oscar is fun! I am excited to work with him again and get back to the career I love. Oscar’s upbeat personality and knowledge of fitness motivates me and keeps me on the right track", says Petra.
Meantime her trainer, who worked out a special program for the beauty, targeting the places she was injured at, said: “It is wonderful to work with Petra again. She is a survivor, I am happy to see her back to her lively and spirited self. Her body endured serious injuries and we are working on healing, rebuilding her strength and leaning out her physique.”
Besides Nemcova, Smith list of clients includes the likes of Bridget Hall, Anne V., Caroline Winberg, May Andersen, Valentina Zelyaeva, Linda Vojtova, and Jessica White.
