After having visited the major defile of the Russian Fashion Week in Paris, Pierre Cardin told RIA Novisti that Russian collections meets the criteria of the international modern fashion.
Pierre Cardin emphasizes that Russian designers have a creative approach and tried "to combine traditions of the Russian national costume with modern trends and experiments with different materials and volumes." He believes that Russian collections will be interesting for foreign buyers as they express liberal spirit of the modern fashion giving people the freedom of choice: "People choose models and materials themselves and from this point of view Russian couturiers can have commercial prospects both in Russia and abroad."
Russian Fashion Week started in Moscow on April 1 and will last nine days. During RWF there will be presented over 70 collections of Russian and foreing designers and the shedule will include Spanish Day, British Day and National Day. Among designers who will present their collections are Yulia Dalakyan, Sultanna Frantsuzova, Daria Razumikhina, Larisa Pogoretskaya, FRESH ART, Max Chernitsov, Lidia Soselia, Avtandil (Georgia), Arsenicum by ENTON, Lena Makashova, A&V (Lithuania), Masha Sharoeva, Olga Komissarova, Frol Romanoff, Sudaryanto, Olga Samoschenko (Belarus), Yulia Nikolaeva, Elena Suprun, Yegor Zaitsev, Olga Romina, Chistova Endourova, Ira Zima, Alexander Terekhov. Some of the collection items will be available for sale in Moscow boutiques.
