Recent separation of Hollywood’s most glamorous couple, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, caused sculptors of London's Madame Tussaud's museum break up a waxwork figure of the stars. The procedure of remoulding the couple, the first joined waxworks figures at the London venue, cost around 10,000 pounds ($19,000).
"It involved quite a lot of work, because they were entwined and had their arms around each other," museum spokeswoman Diane Moon told Reuters on Monday. "Jen had one of her hands on Brad's chest and her other hand was resting on his bottom."
"It's made museum bosses think twice when it comes to celebrity couples. Brad needed a new arm and Jennifer had to have a whole new torso,” Breakingnews.ie quoted a source as saying.
"They will re-enter the museum in the same area but with some distance between them. And as much as everyone would love Brad and Jennifer to reconcile their differences and get back together, Madame Tussaud's bosses would be left kicking themselves."
The Troy hunk and the Friends star met in 1998 and wed in July 2000, and their entwined figure was installed in July 2004, after the museum decided they were a "safe couple".
Despite the cost of separation, the museum spokesperson Moon is hopeful the couple, who separated in January this year, will reunite.
"We would like them to get back together again because that would be a nice happy ending and we don't mind spending the money entwining them again," she said.
Meanwhile, the separated couple who celebrated Jennifer's 36th birthday at a party at their Beverly Hills mansion together on February 12, are reportedly on their way to divorce. According to Celebrity Justice, the reason they haven’t retained any divorce attorneys is because Brad and Jen are using their business managers to work out all the financial details. Sources say that the Hollywood stars have always kept their assets separate and the one possible sticking point may be their only joint investment, the $17 million Beverly Hills estate. So, when the couple officially files for divorce, the process is expected to be simple and quick.
