A number of fashion, movie and showbiz celebrities were in queue this week in Beverly Hills to see the latest garments in the new series from Prada. Ms Prada invited her star friends to a launch of her new exhibition Waist Down: Skirts by Miuccia Prada.

Reporters say fashion princess Nicole Richie was first in the long queue to see the Prada's latest items at Miuccia Prada's party.

According to the same reports, Ms Prada invited her most famous friends to a launch of her new exhibition Waist Down: Skirts by Miuccia Prada.

It came as no surprise that Nicole Richie was in good company and was spotted rubbing shoulders with her ex-co-star Paris Hilton, actress Eva Mendes and burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese.

The collection looks back to Prada's designs from 1988 through to the present day. The touring exhibition will be on display throughout August in Beverly Hills.

"Her clothes are just so wonderful," Angie Harmon told the LA Daily News, showing off her summery dress and black leather handbag. "I'm willing to buy Prada, since I have two daughters and I know that I can pass down the pieces to them, and they will always be classics."

Other Prada fans turned out for the bash, including Joaquin Phoenix, Ben Kingsley, LL Cool J, Giovanni Ribisi and Justin Bateman.
