One day means nothing comparing to the time prince Charles and his true love Camilla Bowls Parker had to wait to finally get married. The ceremony was postponed due to the funeral of Pope John Paul II, who died on the 2nd of April at the age of 84 and is to be buried in Rome in St. Peters Cathedral. As a mark of respect, His Royal Highness and Mrs. Parker Bowles have decided to postpone their wedding until Saturday, said a spokeswoman at Clarence House.
Camilla won’t follow her fiancée to Rome – the representatives of her office said.
The wedding ceremony will take place as it was planned before, maybe just with some slight changes and the details will be announced as soon as possible.
The delay will help such honorable guests as Tony Blair (British Prime Minister) and Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams to resolve the dilemma as they were planning to attend both the funeral and the wedding.
The Queen Elizabeth II will most likely be present at the wedding.
The location of the ceremony has been changed as well – from the Windsor Castle to the less noisy town hall.
The couple had to face much more serious problems than this delay – from the marriage licenses to prince’s distaste for the press.
