25 y.o. pop diva and freshly branded "over-the-hill Lolita" Britney Spears leads annual Hollywood list of worst-dressed drawn up by a fashion designer and self-appointed style judge Blackwell. The top 10 are Britney Spears, Mary-Kate Olsen, Jessica Simpson, Eva Longoria, Mariah Carey, Paris Hilton, Anna Nicole Smith, Shakira, Lindsay Lohan and Renee Zellweger

Worst-dressed women of 2006, according to Blackwell, are: Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Camilla Parker-Bowles, Lindsay Lohan, Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Paula Abdul, Sharon Stone, Tori Spelling, Sandra Oh and Meryl Streep.

It is interesting how celebrities in Blackwell's lists of Hollywood worst-dressed and worst-dressed women of 2006 have been branded.

Britney Spears, Paris Hilton:
"Style-free and fashion deprived"; "Two peas in an overexposed pod."

Camilla Parker-Bowles:
The "Duchess of Dowdy" and a "Royal Wreck," probably due to Camilla's passion for feathered hats.

Lindsay Lohan:
"Tragically trapped in fashion's fast lane."

Christina Aguilera:
"All crass, no class."

Mariah Carey:
"Queen of Catastrophic Kitsch."

Paula Abdul, Tori Spelling, Sandra Oh: "fashion fiascos."

Meryl Streep:
Her wardrobe made Blackwell want to weep.

Worst-dressed lists have become a Hollywood tradition, featuring female celebrities from Queen Elizabeth to Elizabeth Taylor. Blackwell used to be a sophisticated designer, famous for eleborating much talked-about outfits for such celebrities as Jayne Mansfield, Peggy Lee and Nancy Reagan.

It is also interesting to note that the author of the worst-dressed suggests to the women on his 2006 list to emulate "fabulous fashion independents" like Kate Winslet, Angelina Jolie, Helen Mirren, Barbra Streisand and Beyonce Knowles.
