Pop singer Christina Aguilera, famous for her questionable taste and keen on provocative attire, is launching her own fashion line. The young star has landed a licensing deal with British company Basic Box Ltd to design her own clothes and accessories range, which will target Aguileras fans in their 20s and above and will go on sale across Europe next spring.
As explains her publicist Meghan Prophet, It will mirror Christinas status as a fashion icon.
Im such a collector and I do so much research that eventually I would love to do my own line, said Aguilera earlier this year, planning her own lingerie range. Most likely, the celebrity decided not to dissipate her talents and to go for something more comprehensive.
Meanwhile, Christinas raunchy Skechers ads were recently pulled due to numerous protests and complaints from angry nurses. The Naughty and Nice campaign featured the 23-year-old sexy performer dressed as a kinky nurse in a skimpy PVC outfit, stockings and suspenders, preparing to give an injection to herself, wearing pink Skechers trainers.
We understand the comic intent but this ad exploits the naughty nurse and battleaxe stereotypes that have plagued nursing, said Centre for Nursing Advocacy executive director Sandy Summers to Britains The Sun newspaper.
