On Thursday fans of the American Idol got an exceptional opportunity to see it additionally. The results of the Tuesday night show proved incorrect. The incorrect call-in numbers were listed for Gordon and two other contestants.
"I got a call late in the day that we had a serious, serious problem," Paula Abdul told ET's Jann Carl. "The false numbers meant we had a biased vote. It is disastrous."
So the American Idol re-aired on Thursday night giving viewers a chance to vote from the clean slate. They obviously want everything to be fair.
After recount, the 17-year-old Las Vegas resident Mikalah Gordon was voted out, bringing the contest down to 10 finalists. According to judge Simon Cowell Gordon's performance this week was "a complete and utter mess."
